3PAR InForm CLI 3.1

3PAR InForm CLI is the command-line interface for administering HPE 3PAR StoreServ storage systems (formerly known as 3PAR InForm OS). It gives storage administrators precise, scriptable control over provisioning, protection, and monitoring, complementing or replacing GUI-based management when speed, repeatability, or automation is required.

Key capabilities include:

• Creating and managing CPGs and virtual volumes (including thin, deduplicated, and compressed VVs)
• Configuring snapshots, clones, and Remote Copy replication
• Exporting volumes to hosts and managing VLUNs and host sets
• Viewing performance and capacity metrics and generating reports
• Performing system configuration, tuning, and health checks

The CLI runs on Windows and Linux, connects securely to the array over SSH, and supports role-based access control. It’s well-suited for scripting with shell or PowerShell and for integration with orchestration tools. Note: The tool is also commonly referred to as the HPE 3PAR CLI; “InForm” reflects the earlier OS branding.
